Financing a cosmetic surgery operation with a personal payday loan

In today’s society, body aesthetics and the desire to appear eternally young are leading many people to take the plunge in cosmetic surgery. This type of surgery changes a person’s physical appearance to improve it. It can be used for different parts of the body, from the nose (rhinoplasty) to the chest through the ears or buttocks. Nevertheless, each of these operations has a relatively high cost and must therefore be carefully thought out. Once the decision is made, it is possible to use a personal payday loan to finance the cosmetic surgery operation.

What is the difference between aesthetic and plastic surgery?

What is the difference between aesthetic and plastic surgery?

Often the terms “plastic surgery” and “cosmetic surgery” are used indifferently. Yet, a nuance exists:

  • Plastic surgery is medical, as long as it is used to treat a pathology. Patients who use it do so out of necessity to improve their health. For example, burn victims use them when their skin is permanently damaged. Plastic surgery is usually reimbursed by Social Security.
  • Cosmetic surgery is used when the patient wants to improve the aesthetics of a part of his body that he does not like. Interventions are made at the request of the person and not prescribed for a medical reason. They are not covered by health insurance or complementary mutuals.

A cosmetic surgery operation may involve different areas of the body. Depending on the area, the methods used are not the same:

  • rhinoplasty aims to reshape the shape of a nose according to the patient’s tastes, to make it more harmonious with the rest of the face;
  • otoplasty corrects the shape and position of the ears;
  • Blepharoplasty clears wrinkles and other marks that the face takes with age;
  • liposuction (or liposuction) aims to suck excess fat cells under the skin;
  • Breast surgery can reduce or increase the breast volume or correct asymmetry between the two breasts;
  • Facelift limits the sagging of the skin in the throat and face;
  • Baldness surgery allows patients who suffer from it to re-implant hair in bald areas.

During a first consultation, the patient explains his request to the surgeon and the surgeon must define whether the request is feasible or not. A bond of trust must be established and it is therefore important to choose the right practitioner. During this meeting, the patient must answer many questions so that the doctor can understand his motivations. Then the surgeon proceeds to the clinical examination of the imperfection. He then explains the modalities of the intervention and explains to patients the possible sequelae related to the operation, including the scars that may result. He also gives a quote. The patient then benefits from a time of reflection before the intervention. Thereafter, the patient will have to perform a complete pre-operative check-up and an anesthesiologist’s examination to decide if anesthesia is necessary. After these steps, the operation is fixed by the patient and his doctor.

How much costs aesthetic surgery?

How much costs aesthetic surgery?

Since January 1, 1997, the surgeon has the obligation to give the patient a detailed estimate of the operation that the latter wishes to undergo if it costs more than 305 € or requires a general anesthesia. This quote precisely lists the cost of each service and product needed. It must also include the registration number of the practitioner in the county council of the order of doctors, as well as its qualification in a specialty. After the submission of the estimate, the patient has at least fifteen days of legal time to think before being operated on. If he ever retracts, only the first consultation will have paid off. Otherwise, the patient must incur new fees. The prices vary according to the practitioners and the type of operation: it can go from 200 € for a Botox injection to about 10,000 € for a facelift. These operations are not supported by social security, it is possible to contract a loan to finance a rhinoplasty or any other operation.
